About the day
A morning of stillness
A 3.5-hour immersion for stepping, even briefly, beyond the noise of the thinking mind.
It draws on Yoga, Buddhist philosophy, poetry, music, nature and honest self-inquiry. The session moves in a deliberate arc. We begin with body and breath, because the prana must be steady before the mind can be still. We then turn to inquiry and contemplation, rest in a silent, nourishing meal, open the heart through poetry and music, return to the earth through walking, and close by sharing what has arisen.
- No experience needed, only willingness
- Open to every religion, background and orientation
- Limited seats

Before you come
Preparing for the day
Guidance from the practice
- Come on a very light breakfast or an empty stomach. Only water or a light herbal tea before the 9:30 yoga session.
- Go gently. Yoga is not a performance. Move to the edge of sensation, not pain, and rest whenever you need to.
- Let the silence do its work. Phones off or on silent for the whole session.
What to bring
- Comfortable, loose clothing and a yoga mat
- A shawl or light blanket for meditation
- A water bottle
- A notebook and pen
- An open mind and a willingness to sit with yourself
Consent and safety. Sharing in the circle is always voluntary, and what is shared stays within the group. A consent form is signed before the day begins. Pranayama and Breath of Fire are not advised during pregnancy or with hypertension, heart conditions, epilepsy, recent surgery, hernia or respiratory conditions unless cleared by a doctor. Please tell the facilitators about any health concern. You may always sit out or modify a practice.
